HONEY NOVICK is a singer/songwriter/voice teacher/poet. She is one of the artist resources for the Friendly Spike Theatre Band and facilitates the Voice Yoga group at the Secret Handshake Gallery. She was the song facilitator at Sheena’s Place for eight years. Honey was one of the awardees of the 2017 Dr. Reva Gerstein Legacy Fund.
ASPI KOOTAR’s introduction to poems started in his Jesuit school. Even though he is well over fifty now, he credits his school for his love of Panorama poems and Shakespeare plays, including Julius Caesar and Macbeth. Aspi’s love for the English language and poetry continues through InkWell with its fantastic teachers.
LORRAINE GARRAWAY was born in Guyana and raised by Christian parents who were poets; she is continuing in their footsteps. InkWell has rekindled what was within her.
MARK HARVEY has travelled to many countries, including Australia. He was a student at University of Toronto, where he was an English major and wrote for several campus newspapers. He also has an extensive acting background. Mark is currently a Library and Information Technician student at Seneca College.
PAMELA CHYNN has been a member of InkWell Workshops for two years. She considers her time at InkWell to be an incredible journey. She is also a member of Sister Writes, and is currently completing her Novel Writing Certificate at George Brown College.
JOSEPH PIRRELLO, formerly a professional jazz musician who studied piano in Tuscany and Montreal, turned to writing six years ago. He recently published a memoir, Towards Sanity, which recounts his recovery from bipolar disorder with humour and unflinching honesty. His book of poetry, Judith’s Song, is available for purchase through Amazon and Indigo.
After a long career in proofreading, MICHELE BRETON returned to writing poems and short stories. She has had works published in three zines and in InkWell’s 2017 and 2018 anthologies.
